*Disclaimer - this entry is not about the UPSR result!   I'm the kind of person that finds it's easier to express my thoughts and feelings through writing rather than talking it out-aloud. Whenever I'm feeling overwhelmed with my life and surrounding, I prefer to write it down because it is t herapeutic. It's actually easier for me to talk to a large crowd like during meetings or presentations when it come to work or other issue, rather than talking to one person, about my true feelings.   Yes, I'm a contradicting person.   During my schooldays  (a.k.a non-digital days hahaha ) I kept a personal journal where I jot down about my hopes, anger, frustrations and even insecurities, that I bet most people, even those who were close to me, didn't know about.   So when it comes to the digital era, blogging is an easier way for me to write and I even took the bold step to share about my private thoughts with other people. Even people that I don't e

Pop Corn Night: Pacific Rim yang MeRIMaskan

Before I elaborate any further about this movie that I recently watched, I have to admit that I'm not an avid movie-goer.  Most of the time, MH and I went the cinema just because we had some extra time to spare ,  which was not easy to find if you have small kids =)   Our recent watch was  'Pacific Rim' by Guillermo del Toro. It was totally a random pick, as the show time was convenient and the requested seats were still available when we got the tickets. Basically the movie was about human defending our dear planet from being occupied by the monsters from the Pacific Sea. The monsters, 'Kaiju' (Japanese for terminator, if I'm not mistaken) were so powerful that the world need massive  robot/weapon to fight it. It took a global effort to build that super robots called 'Jaegers' that were simultaneously operated by two human pilots using neuro-bridge or something.   If I need to describe the movie in a simpler version, all I  can say it was like

Sabtu nan indah...

Selamat pagi semua! Setelah sekian lama menulis backdated post , hari ini nak cuba menulis tentang current affairs pula. Tak ler terasa ketinggalan sangat heheheh....Actually the main reason that I can afford to write today is because both of my precious lil' ones are still sleeping. MH pula outstation . So I have the whole morning for myself!! This is quite an achievement after 7++ months (since I got Aydeen)!! Hooray!   Here's what I (or we?) had been up to lately:   The kids  - Adeelia has started school. Not even play school, but the actual tadika near to our home. It has been 2 months now and I'm glad that we had made the decision to send her there. Eh, it's not that she's making tremendous achievement academically,. I don't even expect that pun . It's just that now she has her own routine, she's lots more happier. You see, Adeelia is such an active and out going kid. Even though my Mom has been really great in taking care of her while M

Home Sweet Home: Ah Keong Kuasa Dua

In this entry I would like to share our experience in sourcing untuk kelengkapan rumah kami. Since we didn't have a main contractor for the renovation, therefore, we had to get every little and big things ourselves.   Like any newbies in this house renovation, we relied on contacts from family and friends and also recommendation from other bloggers. For instance, for the tiles, it was MH's brother in law who suggested us to use NIRO tiles. The only brand that MH and I  knew were only White Horse because of its frequent radio ad =)   We got the contacts for windows and suppliers for all the construction materials from my parents in laws. Kebetulan pula, both nama Ah Keong. My PILs ni client lama diaorang. Dari zaman buat  rumah family di Kajang tu + projek-projek renovation rumah anak-anak (termasuk kami hehehe) memang deal dengan diaorang ni lah. So rate memang boleh nego, siap boleh bayar instalment! Si Ah Keong yang hardware ni  punyalah baik, sampai dia sendi

Home Sweet Home: Bumbung oh Bumbung

Hai semua! Alhamdulillah, ada kesempatan sedikit nak update blog tentang pengalaman renovation rumah kami. Tapi sebelum tu, nak habaq mai yang entri ini semua back date ye. Renovation dah selesai dan kami pun dah berpindah masuk, Alhamdulillah. But I still want to share our experience through out the journey - sebagai kenangan dan mana tau ada reader yang dapat manfaat daripada pengalaman kami, kan?   Proses ubahsuai rumah kami boleh dikatakan lancar, selancar duit yang mengalir keluar, huk huk huk. Sedikit  set back  ialah semasa proses menukar bumbung rumah. Ketika tu tengah musim hujan. Hujan yang selebat-lebatnya, terutama waktu petang. Jadinya, kerja-kerja untuk siapkan bumbung tu sahaja berlanjutan hingga hampir sebulan. Bila lari timing (and budget too!) untuk bumbung, part lain pun tergendala jugalah. Apa nak buatkan, redha sahaja, insya Allah ada hikmah di sebalik tu.   Bumbung rumah kami tukar semua sekali, since part yang tambahan tu lebih banyak dari yang

Musim Raya dah Tiba

Home Sweet Home: Tiles

Wah dah lama kot tak update perkembangan rumah. Niat asal nak update ikut progress, tapi apakan daya, tiada kesempatan Anyway, better late than never, right? I still want to document our experience in building our dream home. Walau pun comel je saiznya, tapi insha Allah, rumah sendiri =) Tiles with wooden design In this entry I would like to share our experience in doing the floor. We have to change the tiles of the whole house as the current one is quite sedih in condition. Initially, we were considering wooden floor in order to get the earthy-resort feel. But we were quite skeptical on its ability to withstand the hot and humid weather, water/liquid spills etc in the long run. Little did we know that now there are tiles with wood design in the market! Of course it is cheaper to as compared with the real wood and it’s easier to maintain. So, happily we settled for the later due to both the durability and economic reasons. But we only use the wood-design tiles for the mast

A Quick Hi!

Wow, my last entry was dated 5 February. Agaknya memang tema 'update' blog sebulan sekali? Since this is my blog,  it's a good thing that I don't have to explain to anybody about my 'absence' from blogging. Hahahaha...   But if I must blame someone or something for my absence, I'll say the two main reasons are - (1) Lack of TIME (who hasn't?!) and (2) My current fascination with Instagram. Wah, macamlah ada beribu gambar dalam tu!   I have posted only 19 photos so far, but it is kinda  additive, don't you think? Like the saying, a picture tells a thousand words! Oh yes,  I also blame Instagram it for my deteriorating writing skills. Boleh?   Ok,here's a quick glance of what I'm up to lately...   I'm back to work after taking the full - 90 days maternity leave. Yeah, you heard me right. 90-days of being a full time mom! Like all other mothers who enjoyed the benefit - I have to thank the Ministry of Women, Family and Commun

The birth of our lil' Prince

Someone wants to say "Hi!"   "Hi everybody!" Introducing our second born, Aydeen! The picture was taken fresh from the oven =) Doesn't he look just like his sister, Adeelia? Adeelia 1-day old Aydeen was born on a quiet Friday morning - 30th November 2012.  I had went for my antenatal check-up that Thursday morning and my gynae estimated that I will deliver in 1-2 days time. So  I went back home and had my PIL came over for lunch. My MIL  who is an experienced midwife said that I didn't really has the labour signs yet - no oily nose and 'perut belum turun ke bawah'. So relax lagilah ...   After they left, I cleaned up a little and as I was about to perform the Zuhur prayer, I felt some kind of pain at my abdomen. It was like a menstrual cramp. I thought that was because I had been so active for the last few weeks.   You see,  November 2012 was the busiest time for our family. First of course, about the house renovation that wa
