Caution: Ini entri mak-mak ya =) Antara dilema atau rasa bersalah terhebat yang dialami oleh mana-mana working parents adalah bila dirasakan masa berkualiti yang dihabiskan bersama family especially anak-anak adalah sangat-sangat limited. J ika diikutkan kiraan kasar, pembahagian masa kebanyakan daripada kita adalah seperti ini: 40% - di tempat kerja, itu pun kalau dikira waktu kerja biasa 8 pagi - 5 petang. Tak termasuk stay back, out station, traffic jam semasa pergi/balik kerja 33%  - untuk rehat/tidur jika dikira waktu tidur normal selama 8 jam. Walaupun golongan mak-mak memang takkan dapat tidur selama itu, uninterrupted hehehe Jadi berapa sebenarnya waking hours yang kita ada untuk dihabiskan dengan anak-anak/ family? Lately itulah perkara yang sering menghantui saya. Mungkin kerana melihat Adeelia dan Aydeen dah semakin besar. Rasa macam sekejap saja masa berlalu..Tambah rasa bersalah bila sampai rumah tengok budak-budak dah tidur, terasa terkilan dan ru...

Wah dah lama kot tak update perkembangan rumah. Niat asal nak update ikut progress, tapi apakan daya, tiada kesempatan Anyway,better late than never, right? I still want to document our experience in building our dream home. We have to change the tiles of the whole house as the current one is quite sedih in condition. Initially, we were considering wooden floor in order to get the earthy-resort feel. But we were quite skeptical on its ability to withstand the hot and humid weather, water/liquid spills etc in the long run. Little did we know that now there are tiles with wood design in the market! Of course it is cheaper to as compared with the real wood and it’s easier to maintain. So, happily we settled for the later due to both the durability and economic reasons. Wow, my last entry was dated 5 February. Agaknya memang tema 'update' blog sebulan sekali? Since this is my blog,  it's a good thing that I don't have to explain to anybody about my 'absence' from blogging. Hahahaha...   But if I must blame someone or something for my absence, I'll say the two main reasons are - (1) Lack of TIME (who hasn't?!) and (2) My current fascination with Instagram. Ini adalah entry bergambar mengenai  renovation progress untuk fasa awal. MH adalah sangat busy membuat photocopy lay-out plan untuk tukang rumah dan kontraktor yang berkaitan - wiring etc. Ini tips yang bagus, biarlah bersusah sikit, tapi dapat memudahkan kerja dan elak kekeliruan kemudian hari. Kontraktor nak sedia quotation pun senang.   Projek dimulakan dengan  marking the plots.  Kami memang kena berada di site sepanjang proses ini kerana mereka perlu  re-confirm  banyak perkara semasa marking ni especially on the size and usage for each space . Pening juga kepala mereka sebab ada spec kami yang agak luar biasa dari kelaziman. So kenalah explain banyak kali untuk elak kesilapan .   Marking dengan kayu dan benang khas Dimulakan dengan persiapan untuk naikkan beam . I still couldn't believe that my lil' precious is already 1 year old! It feels like it was only yesterday that I held her in my arms for the first time, and now s he's grown up from this....to this  Day 1  365 days later  Adeelia's real birthday was on August 7 = Ramadhan 7. But MH and I thought that it would be quite a hassle to organize iftar +  her birthday as the guests would be rushing for prayers Maghrib-Isya'-Tarawikh and also because our house was not big enough to accomodate for both eating and solat jemaah for all the guests. So we postponed the plan until Aidilfitri, September 17. Now it became a 3+1 event - Adeelia's birthday, our Aidilfitri Open House and MH's birthday as well! His birthday was on September 13. Even if I had been involved in organizing many events in my line of work, I was a little bit nervous when it came to my lil' precious birthday party. Here’s a sneak peak of my day at work…. We’re so flexible that we might be gymnasts………. We are so into team work……. seiring dan sejalan We work so hard until we tire ourselves out….. And this is how we have our ‘professional’ discussion….. When the going gets tough, this is how we beat the stress… When all ends well, some get overjoyed… But some do it in a more poise manner…… All in all, we’re like one big happy family! The actual day at work is lots more busier, tensed, full of drama, plus all the paperwork, project proposals, maklumbalas to be prepared, and might not be suitable for public viewing!

The year 2007 has been great for me and what a better way to end it, but with glitz and glamour! (or so I thought!) All thanks to The Boss who had been kind enough to tag us along to attend this a gala dinner which was held in conjunction with the final round of Anugerah Wanita Ikon 2007. It was a stress free night (at least for us who had always been at the organizing part of an event) and we really enjoyed the red carpet treatment and not forgetting jumped at every photos opportunities. Therefore, I should really reserve my comments on other aspects of the programme..=) I came back home that night with this little discovery which I would like to share - with great make-up and outfit (which not necessarily expensive!), everybody can be somebody!
