Growing up, one of my favourite TV shows apart from F.R.I.E.N.D.S (of course) had to be the Gilmore Girls. The show made its debut on 2000 and had ran for seven seasons until 2007.   Gilmore Girls was the ‘hip and happening’ TV shows back then. It was a perfect combo of gorgeous leading roles ~ Lorelai and Rory that were living a somewhat Boho life in an idyllic small-town ~ Stars Hollow (that seemed to host so many festivities all year long) with their loving and quirky friends and also neighbours. Apart from the small town charm, f rom time to time, the audience got a glimpse of the life of the rich and privileged  society in America  all thanks to  Richard and Emily Gilmore  which seemed to either hosting or attending so many parties -  cocktail parties, charity events etc., including the absurd occasion (well at least to me) the debutante ball @ coming out party - are you serious?   The Gilmore Girls' Inner Circle Back then (oh I feel so...

Memandangkan sekarang dah masuk fasa Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Pemulihan (PKPP) dan perjalanan rentas negeri dah dibenarkan, so jom recap   #CutiCutiMalaysia Pulau Pangkor tahun lepas. The year 2020 have been really interesting and we only just got to the first half of it. I had so much to share here about the happenings in my life, my country and even the world for the past six months that I decided to break the post into a few smaller pieces for it to be more bearable for the readers  hahaha. I will start with the ULTIMATE political turmoil that the country had ever seen. This was far more interesting than the change in Government after the General Election in May 2018. I will not talk about politics ~ it is just not my cup of tea. Filem sains fiksyen sememangnya bukan genre kegemaran saya – mungkin kerana selalunya filem sedemikian dibikin terlalu jauh dari realiti, setnya terlalu futuristik dan terlalu asing menjadikan filem berkenaan ‘keras dan kaku’ untuk saya. Welcoming another year. This year is extra special for Malaysians as it is THE year of Wawasan 2020 as envisioned by our fourth Prime Minister in 1991. And now Tun M is our seventh Prime Minister - what a great coincidence.  If you ask any Malaysians about the Wawasan, I doubt that they can really explain what it is all about, but I bet that most of them (especially the 80's babies) can sing the Wawasan 2020 song. For some reasons, the lyrics still stuck in our mind after all these years😅 I was too young then to comprehend the gist of the Wawasan when it was being launched by Tun M. But like most kids (and people), I imagined that as we entered the new Millennium, our world would be just like in the futuristic, sci-fi movies. We would wear silver metallic clothes, eat super pills for energy fuel, be friends with aliens and move around in flying cars, just like this:  But here we are, two decades after the millennia - still wearing, using, eating and dealin...

Pencemaran toksik – situasi yang boleh berlaku dalam keadaan nyata atau tidak nyata.  Keadaan nyata seperti insiden melibatkan pencemaran di Sungai Kim-kim. Tong-tong bahan berisi sisa toksik dilaporkan ditemui di kawasan berhampiran. Keadaan tak nyata seperti murid-murid sekolah di sekitar Pasir Gudang yang mengalami kesukaran bernafas. Insiden berulang beberapa kali tetapi punca sebenar masih tidak ketahuan.  Tapi, persekitaran toksik  tak kurang juga bahayanya. Boleh terjadi  di mana-mana, bukan sekadar dalam radius Pasir Gudang, Sungai Kim-kim dan yang sewaktu dengannya.  Berlaku tanpa kelihatan dek mata. Terjadi  secara tak nyata. Tetapi kesannya tak kurang bahaya. Bahana kepada jiwa, bisa melumpuhkan raga. 

Day 1: 7th June 2019 After much delays and deliberation, we finally made it to Pulau Pangkor on the third Hari Raya. We had been talking about going there for quite some times and even did some research (read: Google-d) about where to stay, what to do there already - but for some reasons, it was not materialized until now 😁 As we were still entertaining guests the night before and had to do the clean up afterwards (penat teramat!) , I did not finish packing our bags until the very few minutes before our departure.  As a person who is terribly particular when it comes to packing, this was an ultimate nerve wracking task. Anyway, we made it, though we were left home almost two hours later than the planned departure time.
